Center For Financial Empowerment Offers Free Financial Reality Seminar for Teens May 31

‘Mad City Money’ is designed to teach young adults smart money habits that will improve their financial futures
WHAT: Millions of Americans lack personal finance knowledge, which can lead to overspending, poor financial planning and a lifetime of debt. To address the issue, the Center for Financial Empowerment is presenting Mad City Money, a real-world simulation designed to educate teens about responsible money management.
During Mad City Money, participants are immersed with adult responsibilities when assigned a life scenario, complete with a career, income, student/home loans, family and insurance payments. Participants learn budgeting and debt techniques, how to use credit wisely and make smarter financial decisions.

120 young adults will participate in the financial reality simulation. They will visit a virtual town with housing, transportation, food and other stations and volunteers acting as merchants selling goods.
