A man killed in a gravel truck crash in the Castaic area was a resident of Azusa, authorities said Tuesday.

Paramedics were sent to West Sierra Highway and Davenport Road shortly after 8 a.m. Monday, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department. The 54,000-pound four-axle truck was found overturned in a ditch, according to the Santa Clarita Valley Signal.

Aristeo Limon Jr., 52, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles county coroner’s office and the California Highway Patrol.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
