A local nonprofit that helps families contend with childhood cancer is hosting the annual Fall Funraiser event in Arcadia next month.
The event set for Saturday evening, Oct. 3 at the Arcadia Community Center, 365 Campus Drive, features food from a variety of vendors, live entertainment and auctions.
“All proceeds will go to help serve more families who find themselves on a cancer journey they never imagined they would have to take with their child or young spouse,” according to organizers.
Individual tickets cost $90, and a reserved table for 10 with an open bar is $1,500.
Soul’d Out, a self-described “all-girl vocal band,” is set to perform music from 1960s, ’70s and ’80s with an emphasis on R&B, event organizers said. “From Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and the Temptations to Joe Cocker, Norah Jones and Stevie Nicks you will hear the soulful bebop jazz influence that is sure to get you up and dancing.”
