Nearly 650 vote centers were open Monday in Los Angeles County for residents to participate in the statewide primary election.
In-person voting for the Tuesday, June 2 election dramatically expanded Saturday, with 524 more vote centers opening countywide. The new centers were in addition to 122 that opened May 23.
LA County vote centers operate daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for in-person voting, voter registration and hand-delivering vote-by-mail ballots. The centers’ hours will expand on Election Day, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Eligible voters who are not registered have the option of visiting any vote center, filling out a form for conditional voter registration, then casting a ballot. Once the new registration is verified via a statewide database, the ballot will be processed like all others, according to election officials.
“With all LA County Vote Centers open this weekend, voters have many convenient options to cast their ballot early,” Dean C. Logan, LA County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk, said in an earlier statement. “Avoid the rush, make a plan to vote early this weekend or Monday at a location that’s convenient for you.”
Voters can also use the interactive sample ballot at lavote.gov/home/voting-elections/voting-options/interactive-sample-ballot, which allows them to mark selections on a mobile phone or computer and transfer their selections to a ballot-marking device at a vote center. For contests with many candidates, the ballot-marking device displays five candidates at a time, and voters can select the “More” button to view additional names on the list.
Vote centers are listed and mapped on locator.lavote.gov.

Five Super Vote Centers opened Saturday along with over 130 voting locations, expanding opportunities for in-person ballot casting in advance of the statewide primary.
The additional sites that opened over the weekend brought the total of available vote centers to 152.
The centers operate daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Monday. On Election Day, all vote centers will be open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
County election officials said each supervisorial district will have one Super Vote Center. The sites provide more check-in stations and voting booths to help reduce wait times.
All registered voters may cast ballots at any of the vote centers by filling out a paper ballot or using a touchscreen voting machine. Voters may also submit completed mail-in ballots, complete and submit voter registration documents or update their registration information.
The Registrar of Voters has established 107 locations where residents can drop off ballots throughout the county. The ballot boxes are available until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
