

Sheriff’s homicide detectives Saturday are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a teenage boy in Carson that they say could be gang-related.
Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Carson Station responded to the 200 block of W. 233rd Street after receiving a report of a gunshot victim at approximately 11 p.m. Friday, said Deputy Brenda Serna of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. Upon arrival, deputies located a male Hispanic victim, who was approximately 15 years old and sustained a gunshot wound to the upper torso.
LA County Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
Based on preliminary information, it appears the incident is possibly gang-related.
There is no suspect or additional information at this time.
