LA Sanitation seeks toiletry donations to help unhoused Angelenos
Los Angeles Sanitation and Environment is running a toiletry donation drive for the city’s unhoused population through June 24, the department announced Thursday.
People can drop off unused and unopened toiletries, including soap, shampoo and conditioners, toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, razors, shaving cream, feminine hygiene products and deodorant.
Donations to help unhoused members of the community will be accepted at the following LASAN district yards Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.:
— East Valley District Yard: 11050 Pendleton St., Sun Valley;
— West Valley District Yard: 8840 Vanalden Ave., Northridge;
— North Central District Yard: 452 San Fernando Road, Los Angeles;
— West LA District Yard: 2027 Stoner Ave.;
— South LA District Yard: 786 S. Mission Road;
— Harbor District Yard: 1400 N. Gaffey St., San Pedro; and
— Washington Yard: 2649 E. Washington Blvd., Building B.
City employees can bring donations to City Hall, 200 N. Spring St; Public Works Building, 1149 S. Broadway; LAX; the Media Center, 2714 Media Center Dr; La Kretz/LA Cleantech Incubator, at 525 S. Hewitt St.; and LAX.
