LAPD seek man wanted on 3 felony counts

Police Tuesday sought the public’s help to find a homeless felon charged with felony vandalism, grand theft auto and hit and run.

Tajon Wright Freeman, 30, is suspected of stealing a 2001 Toyota Tundra in the area of Seventh and Figueroa streets on Feb. 20 and as he drove away allegedly ran over a woman crossing the street at the intersection of Seventh and Figueroa streets, police said.

Freeman eventually abandoned the truck a short distance away on Bixel and Ingraham streets.

The female pedestrian was taken to a hospital with severe injuries and is still recovering, police say.

Los Angeles Police Department detectives identified Freeman as the driver through DNA evidence left in the truck and in a felony vandalism case in West Los Angeles.

Freeman is considered armed and dangerous and police are advising the public not to approach him if they see him. Anyone with information about Freeman or his whereabouts is asked to call Detective Juan Campos at 213-833- 3713 or e-mail him at 31480@lapd.online.
