Aug.2

At1:32 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1000 block of South SixthAvenue regarding a theft from vehicle report. Sometime between 3 a.m. and 1 p.m.on Aug. 2, an unidentified suspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle andstole a wallet, knife set, and a speaker. There is no suspect information atthis time.

At3:41 p.m., an officer responded to an apartment in the1000 block of Arcadia Avenue regarding an animal bite report. The victim visitedher neighbor to pay rent and the neighbor’s dog bit the victim on the left foot.The victim sustained lacerations to her foot and thigh. She declined medical treatment.The victim declined prosecution against the owner.

At6:33 p.m., an officer responded to Arcadia Retirement Village, located at 607 W.Duarte Road, regarding a battery report. An investigation revealed a resident becameangry and pushed a medication cart causing the employee’s hand to be jammed inone of the drawers. The victim declined medical treatment. The case has been forwardedto the District Attorney’s Officer for review. The 71-year-old male fromArcadia was not arrested.

Aug.3

At11:20 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1100 block of ArcadiaAvenue regarding a battery report. An altercation between a mother and her15-year-old son resulted in the son punching the mother in the face and ear.The victim sustained injuries to her eye and leg. The victim is not desirous ofprosecution.

At1:16 p.m., an officer was flagged down in the 1300 block of South Sixth Avenue regardinga vandalism report. The victim discovered spray-painted graffiti on his mailbox. There is no suspect information as of thetime of this report.

Aug.4

At6:20 a.m., an officer responded to the 1600 block of South Fourth Avenue regardinga mail theft report. A witness reported seeing three suspicious subjectsopening mailboxes in the area and pushing a small shopping cart. Officers wereunable to locate the suspects, but they found the shopping cart with pieces ofstolen mail. Surveillance footage revealed the suspects were three White or Hispanicmales, all between the ages of 20 and 30-years-old, wearing gloves, and masks.  

At7:56 a.m., an officer responded to CVS, located at 1401 S. Baldwin Ave.,regarding a commercial burglary report. An investigation revealed an unknownsuspect cut the lock to a large storage container to the rear of the businessand stole miscellaneous tools. There is no suspect information at this time.

At11:14 a.m., an officer responded to a business suite inthe 500 block of North First Avenue regarding a commercial burglary report. Theofficer determined an unknown suspect broke the door handle to the business,entered the janitor’s closet, damaged a roof-access door, and fled emptyhanded.The investigation is pending a review of the surveillance footage.

At10:04 a.m., an officer responded to Paco’s Restaurant, located at 200 E.Foothill Blvd., regarding a theft from vehicle report. Surveillance footagerevealed two male suspects driving a white Chevrolet Silverado truck stole gardeningtools from the victim’s open truck bed. Suspect #1 is described as a Hispanicmale wearing a dark mask, white t-shirt, a red hooded sweatshirt, black jeans,a black baseball hat, and was likely between the ages of 20 and 30-years-old. Suspect#2 is described as a Hispanic male with a medium build, wearing a blue bandana mask,a white t-shirt, black shorts, and appeared to be between the ages of 20 and30-years-old. The investigation is ongoing.

Aug.6

At1:15 a.m., an officer responded to Hilton Garden Inn, located at 199 N. SecondAve., regarding a fraud report. The victim discovered a roommate stole hiscredit cards and $275 cash. The suspect, 29-year-old male from Arcadia, is outstandingas of the time of this report.

At12:32 p.m., an officer responded to an apartment in the 1100 block of WestDuarte Road regarding a grand theft report. The officer determined the unknownsuspect opened a fraudulent account in the victim’s name and withdrew $4,500.The victim does not know how the unknown suspect obtained his personalinformation.

Aug.7

At12:36 p.m., an officer responded to Beauty Center,located at 1432 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a commercial burglary report. Aninvestigation revealed the suspect smashed the front glass door, ransackednumerous rooms, and fled with nearly $2,000 worth of supplies; includingsurveillance cameras. There is no suspect information at this time.

Aug.8

At11:54 a.m., an officer responded to the Arcadia Police Department front counterto report a residential burglary from the 600 block of West Naomi Avenue. Thevictim discovered $200 was missing from her apartment. The victim had recentlylost the keys to her apartment. There is no suspect information at this time.  

At6:46 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 600 block of Sharon Roadregarding a vandalism report. The victim discovered someone had fired two BBpellets through his rear window. There is no suspect information at this time.
