Sierra Madre Police Blotter Dec. 17 to Dec. 24

During this time period, the Sierra Madre Police Department responded to approximately 259 day and night time calls for service. – Courtesy photo

Dec. 18

Sometime between 12/14 and 12/18/17, a theft of personal items from an unlocked vehicle was reported to have occurred in the 400 block of N. Baldwin Ave. Value of loss not known at this time. The case referred to detectives.

Dec. 19

At about 6:03 p.m. a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian occurred in the 300 block of E. Sierra Madre Blvd. The pedestrian was treated by the Sierra Madre FD Paramedics at the scene and later transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

11:23 p.m.

A resident in the 100 block of Mountain Trail reported a package was taken from his front porch. Video surveillance shows an unknown subject walking away from the residence with the package that was on the victim’s porch. The case was sent to detectives.

Dec. 20

A residential burglary occurred between 9:00 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. The unknown suspect(s) entered the residence through the rear sliding glass door that was left unsecured and ransacked several rooms. The total loss is not known at this time. The case was sent to detectives.

Dec. 23

Theft of a purse and its contents from an unlocked vehicle was reported to have occurred in the 300 block of N. Baldwin Ave. between 6:45 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. The case was sent to detectives.
