Santa Claus is coming to San Gabriel from Dec. 20 to 23
Santa Claus is preparing to spread holiday cheer throughout San Gabriel from Dec. 20 to 23, between 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Once again, he’ll be riding through the streets on his fiery sleigh, a vintage Mack fire engine, accompanied by his festive entourage from the San Gabriel Fire and Police Departments.
Over the course of four nights (weather permitting), Santa will visit different neighborhoods throughout the city. Here’s the schedule for his magical journey:
Friday, Dec. 20: Santa kicks off his journey in the Southwest, covering areas from the railroad tracks to the I-10 freeway and from Del Mar Avenue west to New Avenue.
Saturday, Dec. 21: Next, Santa will visit the Southeast, traveling south of the railroad tracks to the I-10 freeway, from Del Mar Avenue east to Charlotte Avenue.
Sunday, Dec. 22: Santa will make his way to the Northwest, covering areas north of the railroad tracks to Longden Avenue, from Del Mar Avenue west to Alhambra Road.
Monday, Dec. 23: Santa will conclude his tour in the Northeast, traveling north of the railroad tracks to Longden Avenue, from Del Mar Avenue east to Muscatel Avenue.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to greet Santa as he passes through their neighborhoods. For real-time updates on his route, community members can track Santa’s journey via Google Maps, with nightly updates available at SanGabrielCity.com/Santa. You can also follow the San Gabriel Fire Department on social media @SanGabrielFD for any travel updates or potential delays.
Santa’s route may briefly pass through unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County before returning to the designated path. Santa’s visit may be canceled or postponed due to inclement weather.
