Numerous police officers with a federal task force shot and wounded a fugitive in Parson parking structure Tuesday evening.

A regional U.S. Marshals task force from Glendale was tracking a man wanted on a warrant near 100 W. Walnut St. when the officers pinned the suspect’s car.

Authorities described the suspect as a “known felon” according to KTLA news reports Tuesday night.

“Once the officials located the man driving near a company parking structure, they boxed his vehicle in an attempt to take him into custody. But something prompted authorities to open fire,” according to Glendale police.

The suspect was shot in his upper thigh, but was able to get out of the vehicle and run into the parking structure where officers apprehended the fugitive.

The case is being handled by the Glendale Police Department.
