A shooting involving Los Angeles police Monday in the Sawtelle area near West Los Angeles left a man dead.
The shooting was reported shortly before 6 a.m. in the 3700 block of Barry Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally wounded man.
No officers were injured.
The circumstances of the shooting were under investigation.
