
Pasadena police officers shot and wounded an armed suspect who jumped out of a car the officers were pursuing on North Los Robles Avenue at around 9 Friday morning.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Steve Jauch said that the suspect, who was wounded, used a gun to shoot at a Pasadena Police Department officer first, before the suspect was shot.
The suspect in his 20′s, was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital with possible multiple gunshot wounds. The police dept. confirmed there was an OIS but provided no additional details.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are en route to the 300 block of Adena Street, Pasadena, to assist Pasadena Police Department personnel investigate the circumstances surrounding the officer involved shooting.
No officers were injured.
The investigation is ongoing.

” The Pasadena Police Department is working with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department regarding an officer-involved shooting that occurred in the 700 block of North Los Robles Avenue around 9 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2016.
Detectives learned, at approximately 9:00 A.M., Pasadena Police Department officers saw a suspicious vehicle, with several occupants, near the area of Marengo Avenue and Orange Grove Boulevard, Pasadena. The officers followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop at Los Robles Avenue and Adena Street, Pasadena. One of the occupants of the suspect’s vehicle, exited the car and ran. One of the Pasadena Police Officers chased the suspect on foot northbound on Los Robles Avenue. During the chase, the suspect produced a firearm and opened fire on the officer. The officer returned fire, striking the suspect in the upper torso.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
The officer was uninjured.
The suspect’s firearm was recovered at the scene.
The two other occupants fled the scene in the suspect vehicle. The vehicle was later found abandoned a few blocks away. The two suspects remain at large.
