April 19
At 10:28 a.m., an officer responded to the 500 block of East Live Oak Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle report. On April 18 at 7 p.m., the victim parked his friend’s motorcycle on the street. When the victim returned at 10 a.m. on April 19, the victim noticed the motorcycle had been stolen. No suspects were seen or heard.
April 20
At 9:15 a.m., an officer responded to 24 Hour Fitness, located at 125 N. First Ave., regarding a vandalism report. The officer discovered someone had smashed both front glass doors. Though it appeared the suspect had not entered the business after breaking the glass doors, a further review of video that captured the incident is currently underway.
At 9:27 a.m., an officer responded to the 11700 block of Clark Street regarding an investigation involving a recovered trailer, a stolen trailer, and stolen property. Surveillance footage revealed three to four males arrived at the location in a Chevrolet Tahoe that was towing a trailer. The suspects disconnected the trailer they brought with them, attached the victim’s trailer to their Tahoe, and then fled with the trailer that contained construction equipment and supplies. The trailer the suspects left behind had been reported stolen out of Pasadena. The investigation is ongoing.
At 10:45 a.m., officers responded to Spring Hill Suites by Marriott, located at 99 N. Second Ave., regarding a fraud report. An investigation revealed one suspect rented two rooms using the same fraudulent credit card. The officers contacted three subjects in one of the rooms and located drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine. One of the three subjects, a 33-year-old female from Covina, stated the illegal items belonged to her. The female suspect was arrested and cited for the drug offenses. The officers then entered the second hotel room and located another suspect who they determined had used the fraudulent credit card to pay for the hotel rooms. The subject, a 34-year-old male from San Dimas, had various medical conditions that warranted release prior to booking, and formal charges against the subject are pending review by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
April 21
At 6:41 p.m., an officer responded to 101 Noodle Express, located at 1025 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a commercial burglary report. The victim left and locked and secured the business on Monday, April 20, around 8 a.m. Upon returning on Tuesday, April 21, at approximately 6:30 p.m., the victim noticed two registers, two computers, cash, and miscellaneous food items had been stolen. There were no signs of forced entry. The victim was unable to access the surveillance footage at the time of the report. The officer located additional cameras from neighboring businesses but was unable to make contact with them. The investigation is ongoing.
April 22
At 2:43 p.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a grand theft from Westfield Santa Anita, located at 400 S. Baldwin Ave. Sometime between April 16, at 4 p.m., and April 20, at 10 a.m., suspect(s) stole an unsecured pressure washer from the valet parking garage. Mall security is reviewing their surveillance footage for any suspect information.
At approximately 7:30 p.m., a resident in the 1000 block of Rancho Road heard a loud bang outside, and then tires screeching. The resident looked outside and saw a grey Ford Mustang driving north, away from his residence. The resident then discovered his vehicle had been broken into. One of the items stolen during the vehicle burglary was a wallet containing various credit and debit cards, along with $75 cash. The investigation is ongoing.
April 23
At 5:25 a.m., an officer responded to the intersection of Huntington Drive and Second Avenue regarding a possible drunk driver in the area. A witness reportedly saw a vehicle hit the center median twice, and stated there was a trash can stuck under the vehicle. Responding officers located the vehicle in question, conducted field sobriety tests on the driver, and arrested a 29-year-old female from Northridge for driving while intoxicated. The female driver was transported to Arcadia Methodist Hospital for further testing, and was eventually arrested and cited for Driving Under the Influence of Drugs.
At 6:34 a.m., an officer responded to Brandon’s Landscape, located at 40 E. Foothill Blvd., regarding a commercial burglary investigation. The investigation revealed unknown suspects pried open a locked trailer and fled with miscellaneous landscaping items. The suspect(s) also pried open three pickup truck metal tool boxes, but nothing was reported missing from them. There is no suspect information as the time of this report.
Shortly after 7:41 a.m., an officer responded to 1A Fitness, located at 35 South First Avenue, regarding a commercial burglary report. Surveillance footage revealed a single male suspect was seen inside the business at 2:52 a.m. on April 23rd stealing various pieces of exercise equipment, and exiting through the back door. Additional surveillance footage indicated another subject entered the location a short time later at 5:47 a.m., but did not appear to steal anything. The officer determined the first suspect entered the business by smashing the front glass door. Blood droplets were located and taken as evidence for further processing from inside the location and on a piece of glass. The investigation is ongoing.
April 24
At 1:43 p.m., an officer responded to the 800 block of West Duarte Road regarding a mail theft report. The officer determined an unidentified suspect damaged multiple mailbox locks, and fled with an unknown amount of mail. The investigation is ongoing.
April 25
At 3:46 p.m., an officer responded to Vons, located at 745 W. Naomi Ave., regarding a robbery report. An investigation revealed four suspects stole various food items from the store and, when the loss prevention employee attempted to stop them, one of the suspects pushed the employee to get away with the property. The four suspects are described as two Hispanic males and two Hispanic females. The suspect who pushed the employee is described as a Hispanic male, between the ages of 25 and 30, with brown hair and eyes, and was seen wearing a white t-shirt, light blue jeans, and white shoes. All four suspects fled in a green Kia Sedona. The incident was captured on surveillance footage. The investigation is ongoing.
At 4:49 p.m., the Arcadia Police Department received an electronically submitted report of mail theft that occurred in the 1800 block of South Santa Anita Avenue. Surveillance footage revealed a male suspect stole the victim’s outgoing mail from her mailbox. The suspect is described as a light-skinned male, approximately 5-foot-9 to 5-foot-11, and was wearing a dark-colored shirt, light-colored shorts, and a white hat.
