The City of Baldwin Park invites residents and visitors to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary during the Independence Day Spectacular on Friday at Sierra Vista High School (3600 Frazier St.). The annual event will feature live entertainment, festivities and a fireworks show.
“The Independence Day Spectacular is one of Baldwin Park’s favorite traditions, bringing the San Gabriel Valley together to celebrate unity and freedom,” said Baldwin Park Mayor Daniel Damian. “We are proud to join with communities across the nation to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary through this historical evening with our neighbors, family and friends.”
The free celebration kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and will feature a variety of family friendly activities, including carnival rides, giant slides, face painting, balloon artists, LED dancers and the Liberty Stilt Walker. Enjoy live entertainment beginning at 6:45 p.m. with Beatles vs. Elvis: A Musical Showdown, an interactive tribute performance celebrating musical icons. Finally, a synchronized fireworks show starts at 9:30 p.m. Food vendors and information booths will also be available throughout the evening.
For the safety and enjoyment of all attendees, alcoholic beverages and pets are prohibited. All ice chests are subject to search upon entry.
