Montebello barricade ends with burglary suspect arrested

A burglary suspect was arrested Friday after barricading himself in a residence in Montebello for about six hours, authorities said.

Officers were sent to the 400 Block of Washington Boulevard about 3:50 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, which assisted Montebello police.

The man surrendered about 10 a.m., and no injuries were reported, according to the Montebello Police Department.

The suspect’s name was not immediately released.
