Rialto police Tuesday identified 31-year-old Curtiss Booker Jr. of Monrovia as the suspect in the murder of his father, 58-year-old Curtiss Booker Sr. of Temple City.
The murder took place in Rialto on Monday. Several 9-1-1 calls at approximately 11:15 a.m. Monday reported a gunshot victim in the 400 block of East Chaparral Street, according to the Rialto Police Department. When officers arrived, they found the elder Booker lying in the front yard of a home. He later died of his injuries.
Police say it appears that a domestic dispute between the two escalated and ended when Booker Jr. shot his father.
Booker Jr. fled the scene before police arrived.
Booker is considered to be armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information about Booker or his whereabouts can call 9-1-1, Rialto police Sgt. Mills at (909) 820-2632 reference case #932106153, or WeTip at (800) 782-7463 to report anonymously.
