A pedestrian and suspected DUI driver were moderately injured Tuesday in a crash in Torrance that damaged a brewery’s entrance.

The woman suspected of the DUI was driving southbound on Del Amo Circle East and allegedly sped through a stop sign at the intersection of Plaza Del Amo, where she struck a pedestrian walking in the crosswalk at about 2:30 p.m., according to Sgt. Mark Ponegalek of the Torrance Police Department.

The woman lost control of her car following the collision and crashed into The Brews Hall brewery at 21770 Del Amo Circle East, Ponegalek said.

No one inside the brewery was injured in the crash, though the building’s entrance was damaged.

The woman and the pedestrian suffered moderate injuries and were taken to a hospital.
