Nov.29

At8:40 a.m., an officer responded to Hall of Fame Baseball Cards, located at 319E. Foothill Blvd., regarding an attempted commercial burglary report. Theofficer discovered an unidentified suspect had shattered a front window thatwas located next to the handle of the door. It appears the suspect did notenter the business and no loss was reported. There are no investigative leadsas of the date of this report.

At9:47 a.m., an officer responded to Pets Grooming,located at 40 E. Live Oak Ave., regarding a commercial burglary report. Aninvestigation revealed the suspect(s) accessed a key storage box, then used thekey to enter the business. The suspects ransacked the location and fled withcash from the register and the video surveillance system. The investigation ispending a review of the surveillance footage.

Nov.30

At10:21 a.m., an officer took a telephonic report of an incident of fraud. Thevictim stated her wallet was stolen while shopping at various grocery storeslocated in Pasadena and Arcadia. Sometime during her outing, the suspect attemptedto make fraudulent purchases with the victim’s credit card in Montebello andGlendale. The investigation is ongoing.

At1:45 p.m., an officer responded to 316 S. First Ave. regarding a vandalismreport. The victim discovered someone had fired a bb gun at one of the rearwindows, causing the window to shatter. The investigation is pending a reviewof the surveillance footage.

At1:59 p.m., an officer responded to a public parking lot at 41 Wheeler Ave.regarding a vehicle burglary report. The victim stated sometime between 1:50–1:59p.m., someone smashed the front passenger window and fled with her bagcontaining cash and credit cards. The investigation is awaiting the submissionof surveillance footage.

Dec.1

At12:26 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 600 block of West LemonAvenue regarding a fraud report. The victim stated she purchased a new iPhone,valued at $1,322.98, on eBay only to become a victim of fraud when the sellermailed her a different item, valued at less than $100. The investigation isongoing.

Dec.2

At10:02 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of DiamondStreet regarding a burglary report. Surveillance footage revealed a malesuspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle that was parked in front of herresidence. The suspect stole a garage door opener, a purse, and othermiscellaneous items. With the garage door opener, the suspect entered theattached garage and may have fled with additional items. The suspect isdescribed as a male wearing a hooded sweatshirt, pants, and a mask. Theinvestigation is ongoing.

At4:18 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of Sharon Roadregarding a burglary report. An investigation revealed the suspect(s) smashed arear sliding glass door, and once inside, it appeared the suspect only opened aliquor cabinet. There is no suspect information and the loss is unknown at thistime.

Dec.3

At2:15 p.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of East Huntington Driveregarding a stolen vehicle report. Sometime between 2:30–2:45 p.m. on Dec. 3,the victim’s 1999 Toyota Tacoma pickup was stolen from the location. The victimleft his keys and wallet in the unlocked vehicle. No suspects were seen and nowitnessed were located.

At4:37 p.m., an officer responded to the 2400 block of Albert Way regarding agrand theft from person report. Two suspects contacted the victim, who waswearing a gold necklace, and placed costume jewelry on him as if it was a gift.When the victim asked for the costume jewelry to be removed, the suspects thenremoved the victim’s real gold necklace and left the victim with the costumejewelry. The suspects are described as a male and female with Middle Easternaccents. They were driving a small white SUV, possibly a Toyota or Mazda. Theinvestigation is ongoing.

Dec.4

At8:48 a.m., an officer responded to the 300 block of South Third Avenueregarding a theft from vehicle report. Sometime during the previous night, asuspect entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and stole her vehicleregistration and proof of insurance. There are no investigative leads as of thedate of this report.

At6:23 p.m., an officer responded to the FedEx parking lot, located at 12369Lower Azusa Road, regarding a theft of vehicle parts report. The victimdiscovered the catalytic converter for his vehicle had been removed. The investigationis pending a review of surveillance footage.

At6:46 p.m., an officer took a telephonic fraud report for a victim who residesin the 500 block of West Duarte Road. The victim stated she was contacted by thesuspect who claimed to be calling from the Social Security Administration. Thesuspect indicated that the victim’s social security number had beencompromised. After the victim provided the suspect with her personalinformation and transferred nearly $3,000 in Bitcoin in order to resolve theissue, the victim became suspicious. The investigation is ongoing.

Dec.5

At3:05 p.m., an officer took a telephonic report of a petty theft report thatoccurred in the 900 block of Coronado Drive. Surveillance footage revealed twosuspects approached the victim’s front porch and stole two unsecured bicycles.The suspects are described as a male wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, a whiteface mask, and a light blue backpack and a second suspect who is described as amale or female and was seen wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt and a whiteface mask. The investigation is ongoing.
