Monrovia Unified Extends Student Dismissal to May 5

Following a recommendation from the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE), Monrovia Unified School District (MUSD) will extend student dismissal until Monday, May 4, with students returning on Tuesday, May 5.
The recommendation to extend the dismissal period comes after Governor Gavin Newsom put out a “Stay at Home” order on Thursday, March 19. Los Angeles County issued a similar order, “Safer at Home.” Both are designed to slow the spread of the illness by imposing stricter social distancing guidelines.
MUSD will continue to provide updates via email, phone calls, public access television, and social media as the situation evolves and changes.
Students and parents are encouraged to utilize MUSD’s Distance Learning Platform. The platform includes resources such as sample daily schedules to stay on task, tips on how to create a productive learning space, and guides to using programs for online learning.
