Foothill Unity Center in Need of Donations and Volunteers

Foothill Unity Center remains open to provide vital services that are needed now as people lose their jobs and have their hours cut due to COVID-19.

In responseto social distancing guidelines issued by multiple government agencies, theCenter has postponed all events and activities until further notice. However,the Center continues to distribute food weekly to ensure those in need areprovided with necessities. Food distributions are held at the Monrovia location(790 W. Chestnut Ave.) on Mondays from 1-3:30 p.m. and, Wednesdays and Fridaysfrom 9-11:30 a.m. The Pasadena location (191 N. Oak Ave.) hosts fooddistributions on Tuesdays 9-11:30 a.m. and, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1-3:30p.m.

As the Center sees demand increase, so do its need for donations. In response, it has comprised a wish list asking for:

  • Monetarydonations.
  • Disposablegloves.
  • Bags.
  • Medium sizedboxes.
  • Produce.
  • Dairy.
  • Meats.
  • Breads.
  • Rainponchos.
  • Gift cardsto grocery stores.
  • Tissues,paper towels and toilet paper.
  • Canopies(10-by-10 feet).
  • Personalhygiene products.
  • Handsanitizer.
  • Householdcleaning products.
  • Drivers tohelp with food delivery.

The Centerasks that donations be delivered to either the Monrovia or Pasadena centers.
