The City of Arcadia is offering transit assistance to senior/disabled riders who are self-isolating, and who may need help with sustaining for the long run. To ease the hardship, the Dial-A-Ride policy has been temporarily modified to allow caregivers of registered riders to use Dial-A-Ride to do essential errands for them. In order to make sure the city is serving the right people, it is putting the following process in place:

  1. Caregivermust be associated with a registered rider.
  2. Reservationsmust be made by a registered rider.
  3. The tripsmust originate from and return to the registered rider’s residence.
  4. Registeredrider must provide the name of the caregiver.
  5. Caregiver toprovide ID and the name on ID must match with the name given by the registeredrider.
  6. Caregiversmay ride free of charge.
  7. Thismodification is temporary and will cease when the city deems no longerwarranted.
  8. All otherrules remain unchanged.

If not yetregistered, a Dial-A-Ride application must be completed and submitted withrequired documents. To expedite the process, applications can be emailed toAlana Bautista at abautista@ArcadiaCA.gov.
