Get to know your local police force on Aug. 6. – File photo by Terry Miller / Beacon Media News
The Monrovia Police Department will participate in National Night Out on Aug. 6 by inviting the community to join them for a hot dog dinner in Library Park starting at 6:30 p.m. This annual event works to promote awareness of crime and drug issues in the community. It is a chance to get to talk to our local police officers and get to know and trust them.
In addition to dinner there will be live music and even raffles. This is a great opportunity to ask those questions of a cop that you have always wondered about. Even the chief will be on hand to meet and greet everyone. Representatives of other city departments will also be on hand and available to answer questions.
Plan to join the PD and the rest of the community on this National Night Out.
