Vote on the Pasadena Measures on Today’s Ballot

Today is Election Day and there are two local measures on the ballot. Voters will have to decide whether or not to support Measures I and J. Measure I seeks to establish “a ¾-cent sales tax providing approximately $21,000,000 annually until ended by voters.” Measure J asks voters, if the sales tax measure is approved, whether 2/3 of the measure’s annual revenue should go to maintain essential city services, such as fire and police, with the remaining 1/3 going to support Pasadena public schools.

If you have yet to do your research, visit the Pasadena city clerk’s office online to help you decide. The city has compiled arguments for and against both measures so there is no need to head into the poll booth uninformed.

If you need help finding your polling place visit the Secretary of State online. If you’re not registered to vote, visit the L.A. County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s office in Norwalk (12400 Imperial Highway, Norwalk, CA  90650) by 8 p.m. to vote conditionally. Your ballot will be processed once elections officials have verified your registration.
