Sidewalk CPR Day ( June 1 @ 8 a.m. – 12p.m., 321 S. Mrytle Ave.,) To commemorate National CPR and AED week, Monrovia Fire and Rescue will host a one-day, hands-only CPR tutorial to assist the local community with vital, life-saving measures. Blood pressure and glucose checks will also be administered free to the public.

Monrovia Street Fair and Market (June 2 @ 5 – 9 p.m., 700 S Myrtle Ave.) Bring the entire family to peruse a variety of organic and nutritious produce, beautiful fresh-cut flowers and crafts hand-made by local artisans! The farmers and vendors at the Street Fair and Market offer high quality produce and products. For the little ones, activities include face-painting, camel-rides and special programming every first Friday of the month.

The Many Joys of Music – Pasadena Senior Center (Tuesdays, June 6 – Aug. 1, from 2 to 4 p.m.) Dr. Alan Chapman will introduce participants to the next phase of a stimulating journey into the world of classical music, with talks examining a variety of works including the music of Spain, symphonies of the 20th century and the operas of Giuseppe Verdi. Chapman hosts four classical music programs on KUSC Classical Radio. He is a faculty member at the Colburn Conservatory of Music as well as a composer and lyricist.
