On Saturday Aug 13 from 10-5, Perry’s Joint located at 2051 Lincoln Avenue is donating 100 percent of his proceeds from the day to help three young people on their college quest.
The recipients are all from Muir High School: Aajalilynn Allen, Jennifer Salvador and Diego Obregon.
As a Mustang, Aajalilynn participated in Track & Field, the Dance Team and the Muir Pep Squad, as Captain of the Flag Team. Aaialilynn was a member of the
Black Student Union and Young Life.
She is a 1s’ generation graduate that will attend the University of Nevada Las Vegas in the fall. Aaialilynn plans to take full advantage of all the opportunities she has received. Her goal is to not only make her family proud but her community tool
Diego was the Editor in Chief of Muir newspaper, The Blazer. He participated in competitive
swimming and was selected to be a student ambassador for the Tournament of Roses.
Diego will attend UCLA in the fall and major in English. While at UCLA, he plans on becoming involved in student media and join the Bruins Swim Club. In his spare time Diego loves kayaking, watching TV shows and roller skating.

Jennifer participated in journalism while attending Muir.
Her extra-curricular activities consisted of ASB, Solar Cup, Dance, Young Life and Film Editing. Jennifer gives back to her community through volunteering to tutor
students at Washington Middle School and students who
didn’t pass the CAHSEE. In the fall Jennifer will attend Cal
State L.A. and majoring in Business Management.
