‘Fish Canyon Fire’ & ‘Reservoir Fire’: 2000 Plus Acres Burning in Multiple Fires
Evacuations have been ordered in Azusa and Duarte where multiple fires are burning east of Duarte.
With temps around 120 degrees, Firefighters are battling 2 stubborn fires simultaneously with fixed wind and helicopters for air support.
A fatality crash on Highway 39, which is currently closed, sparked the first blaze that has now burned 600 acres (and increasing by the minute) in the Angeles National Forest north of Azusa, according to the U.S. Forest Service.

An evacuation center has been set up at 1600 Huntington Drive in Duarte at city Hall. Horses and other large animals should be taken to the LA County Fairplex in Pomona.
The second fire, dubbed Reservoir Fire, has also massively burned more than 600 acres near Morris Dam in the Angeles National Forest – 300 plus firefighting personnel are working on that fire.
