The Arcadia Recreation and Community Services Department recently announced their Summer Concert and Movie Series for 2016!
Mark your calendar! The City of Arcadia’s free summer concert series is approaching fast, so make sure you do not miss out on the fun in the sun!
The summer concerts are held on Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the lawn between city hall and the police department (240 W. Huntington Drive).
Bring the kids out to participate in the free fun zone, featuring games, crafts, and activities each week.
In addition, the city is pleased to announce The Surfer Taco Truck at all of the 2016 Summer Concerts! The Surfer Taco truck has served the Los Angeles area for several years. Their menu includes a large variety of delicious items which are sure to satisfy your needs and have you coming back for more. A portion of the proceeds will be given to the recreation and community services department! For more information, please call (626) 574-5113. Listed below is the lineup for this summer:
– The Answer (Classic Rock) – July 7.
– Surfs Up (Beach Boys tribute) – July 14.
– Cobras (oldies to current) – July 21.
– Neon Nation (‘80s) – July 28.
– The First Marine Division Band – Aug. 4.
– Cold Duck (‘70s top 40) – Aug.11.
– Doo-Wah Riders (Country) – Aug. 18.

The Movies in the Park are held on Friday evenings with activities starting at 6:30 p.m. and movies starting at dusk on the lawn between city hall and the police department (240 W. Huntington Drive). The Movies in the Park series is provided in partnership with CHOICESS Arcadia. This summer’s lineup is as follows:
– “Minions” (PG) – July 8.
– “The Good Dinosaur” (PG) – July 15.
– “Frozen” (G) – July 22.
– “Zootopia” (PG) – July 29.
– “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens” (PG13) – Aug. 5.
– “Inside Out” (PG) – Aug. 12.
– “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” (PG) – Aug. 19.
