Release coincides with Pink Boots Society’s Annual Pink Boots Brew Day

Pink Boots is an organization created to support women in the beer industry and help advance their careers through education. For Pink Boots Society’s annual Pink Boots Brew collaboration, Wingwalker hosted 11 women involved in the Los Angeles and Inland Empire craft beer industry along with homebrewers to brew a special collaboration using Yakima Chief Hops’ Pink Boots special hops blend. Named “These Boots Are Made for Wingwalkin’,” the IPA will be released on Friday, April 19 with all the brewers in attendance.

The collaboration includes homebrewers, Wingwalker staff and the following local groups:

Participants shared what it meant to be a part of this event. Laura Fahey of IE Brew Witches Club said, “We were honored to be a part of Wingwalker’s Pink Boots Brew Day. Opportunities like these offer a chance for women in the industry to collaborate and brew, but the true impact runs much deeper. It fosters friendships, builds professional relationships, and opens doors for the women of craft beer to experience what we truly love, learning and brewing with amazing people.”

Melanie Faure of Crafty Brewster’s Club had this to say of the experience: “Coming from a homebrew background, it was thrilling to be a part of our first large-scale brew. The Wingwalker team was very generous in showing us the ropes. It was inspiring to brew alongside so many rad women, especially in support of the Pink Boots Society. We walked away feeling less intimidated and can’t wait for our next collab!”
