Gang Related Shooting in Unincorporated Monrovia

On June 14 at approximately 11:41 a.m., Temple Station Sheriff’s deputies responded to a “shots fired, gunshots heard” call in the 2500 block of Broderick Ave., in unincorporated Monrovia.

Upon their arrival, deputies located a female Hispanic adult and a male African-American adult suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The male victim remains in fair condition and the female victim is in surgery.

Preliminary information reveals that a white colored vehicle was seen leaving the scene. The incident appears to be gang related. The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
