Construction part of ongoing $148 million pavement rehabilitation project
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the eastbound I-210 Arroyo Boulevard/Windsor Avenue on-ramp and Lincoln Boulevard off-ramp for an extended period of time beginning the night of Feb. 20.
During the closure, crews will pave roadway across from the ramp. The closure is for up to 45 days.
For access to eastbound I-210, drivers can use the Berkshire Place on-ramp. Drivers who normally exit at Lincoln Boulevard may exit at Arroyo Boulevard/Windsor Avenue.
The eastbound Foothill Boulevard on-ramp is also closed for paving work, but is expected to reopen the second week of March.
Detour and message signs about the scheduled closure will be posted.
Drivers are advised to plan ahead, and use the Caltrans QuickMap at quickmap.dot.ca.gov for information on travel conditions. The app is free on Google Play and the App Store.
Drivers are also reminded to be “Work Zone Alert” and “Slow for the Cone Zone.”
ABOUT THE I-210 PAVEMENT REHABILITATION PROJECT
The ramp closures are part of a $148.5 million pavement rehabilitation project for a 9.7 mile section of I-210 from the La Crescenta-Montrose area of Los Angeles County to Pasadena.
The new surface will provide a smoother ride for drivers and reduce the need for regular maintenance and further lane closures.
The project started in Spring 2015, and is scheduled to be complete in Summer 2018.
