For the third consecutive year, the City of Long Beach will serve as the official host of the Long Beach Pride Parade. Now in its 43rd year, this year’s parade will take place Sunday, May 17 at 10 a.m.
“The Long Beach Pride Parade is a powerful expression of who we are as a city—diverse, welcoming and united in celebrating one another,” said Mayor Rex Richardson. “We are proud to continue supporting an event that uplifts our vibrant and historic LGBTQ+ community and reflects the inclusive values that define our city.”
The parade will commence at Ocean Boulevard and Lindero Avenue and travel along stretches of Ocean Boulevard and Alamitos Avenue in Downtown. More details about this year’s parade, including grand marshals and other features, will be provided at a later date.
Businesses and community organizations interested in participating in the parade by float, vehicle, walking group or otherwise can submit an application now through Monday, May 4, 2026. There is no entry fee to participate in the parade. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
“The Long Beach Pride Parade is an impactful reminder of the strength, resilience and beauty of our city’s LGBTQ+ community,” said Second District Councilwoman Cindy Allen. “As a mother of an LGBTQ+ daughter, this event is deeply meaningful to me. It is an honor to be able to keep supporting an event that brings our city and the region together in such a powerful way.”
As part of the adopted Fiscal Year 2026 Budget, the Long Beach City Council approved structural funding of $50,000 allocated toward the Long Beach Pride Parade. This year’s event is also funded by $50,000 from the Port of Long Beach. Additional information about funding and sponsorship will be announced at a later date.

It’s a living tradition honoring the energy and spirit of our city, and the Port of Long Beach is pleased to sponsor such an important community institution,” said Port of Long Beach CEO Dr. Noel Hacegaba.

The parade will coincide with the Long Beach Pride Festival, taking place Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17 along the Downtown waterfront. The festival will be a separate event that will remain organized by the Long Beach Pride organization. This year’s theme is “Fearless and Free.” More information about the festival will be available at longbeachpride.com/Festival.
