Nearly $1 million in federal funding has been secured for the septic-to-sewer project in unincorporated Fontana. T
his funding, championed by Congressmember Norma Torres and accepted by Second District Supervisor Jesse Armendarez, will enhance the public health of residential and business communities by significantly reducing the risk of groundwater contamination from failing septic systems, minimizing exposure to harmful bacteria and viruses, and ensuring a more reliable and sanitary waste management system for the community, according to county officials.
