A 28-year-old man was arrested Monday in connection with drug overdoses that sent five people in an apartment building in Granada Hills to hospitals.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 8:01 a.m. Saturday to 16950 Blackhawk St., near Balboa Boulevard, and found a 26-year-old woman, two 30-year-old women, a 30-year-old man and a 40-year-old man suffering from overdose symptoms, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Nicholas Prange.
All five had stable vital signs as of Monday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Ludwin Henriquez of Granada Hills was arrested about 1:30 p.m. Monday and booked for possession of controlled substance and possession of a firearm, though his exact connection to the five overdoses was not specified, police said.
Henriquez was being held on $50,000 bail.
