Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, a mental health and crisis care provider based in Los Angeles, announced Thursday it is acquiring Teen Line, a youth-centered mental health organization.

The amount of the acquisition, which will be finalized by the end of the month, was not disclosed.

Teen Line, a global teen help hotline based out of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, has “been at the forefront of mental health advocacy and change by providing a safe, anonymous space for vulnerable youth,” according to Lyn Morris, CEO of Didi Hirsch.

“Teen Line’s work, and most importantly their team will help Didi Hirsch on our mission to further expand access to mental health care and provide the necessary resources to youth and other communities in need,” Morris said in a statement.

Cheryl Eskin, the chief operating officer of Teen Line, said in a statement that Didi Hirsch will expand Teen Line’s ability to provide access to youth who need mental health assistance.

“We are beyond excited to join such a renowned and effective organization that shares our ethos and mission of mental health advocacy and crisis care,” Eskin said.

According to Teen Line, there will be no disruption to its hotline or training programs, and it will keep providing nationwide services to youth between 6 and 10 p.m. at 800-852-8336. People can also text “teen” to 839863 between 6 and 9 p.m. After-hour calls will transfer to Didi Hirsch’s 24/7 Suicide Prevention Center.
