Republican state convention continues this weekend in Anaheim

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy of Bakersfield will be the dinner keynote speaker Saturday as the three-day California Republican Party 2022 Convention continues in Anaheim.

Rep. Byron Donalds, R-Florida, will speak during Saturday’s lunch banquet. Sen. Tim Scott, R-South Carolina, headlined Friday’s opening dinner banquet.

A series of candidates’ forums are being held throughout the weekend, with voting on endorsements for the June primary set for Sunday.

A candidate needs to receive at least 60% of the votes from the voting delegates to receive an endorsement.
