LAFD extinguishes fire inside abandoned home in Koreatown

Firefighters extinguished a fire inside a vacant and boarded up home in Koreatown.

The blaze inside the house at 857 S. Manhattan Place was reported at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

The department dispatched 51 firefighters to the scene and they knocked down the flames on the second floor of the building in 26 minutes, Humphrey said.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation, he said.
