SIP-tember Round Two Voting Open – 32 Drinks Remain

The Taste of Pasadena returns to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Thursday, Sept. 24th from 6 to 9 p.m. For $30 (in advance) you can enjoy food tastings from many of Pasadena’s favorite restaurants and caterers. Celestino Ristorante, Lucky Baldwin’s Pubs, Hope Café & Catering, El Cholo Café, Del Frisco’s Grille, Papa Nacca’s Jerky, Stonefire Grill, Du-par’s, Nothing Bund Cakes, The Walrus and the Hedgehog, POP Champagne & Dessert Bar, Rita’s Italian ice, Slater’s 50/50, Alondra Hot Wings and more offer food and drink tastings for guests.

Only 500 tickets will be sold to the Taste of Pasadena. No long lines. No waiting. Just lots of fun and food tastings at the Rose Bowl. Dance Syndicate provides music. The City of Pasadena and the Rose Bowl Stadium sponsor the Taste of Pasadena which is presented by the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and our restaurant members.

SIP-tember: A Celebration of the Cocktail returned Aug. 15th for six weeks. The six-week cocktail bracket challenge culminates in the Taste of Pasadena and SIP-tember Cocktail Bracket Challenge Finale on Sept. 24th at the Rose Bowl.

Pasadena celebrates the cocktail during SIP-tember, with some of our favorite Pasadena Chamber member restaurants offering some of their favorite cocktails. Drinks being offered for the SIP-tember Cocktail Bracket Challenge include special margaritas, new interpretations of traditional cocktail and some specially created drinks from some of Pasadena’s premiere mixologists.

Look for great interpretations of traditional cocktails. Try drinks created especially for the SIP-tember Cocktail Bracket Challenge. Previous drinks named Pasadena’s Favorite Cocktail include the Broad Street Hurricane from Ruth’s Chris Steak House, the Cucumber Skinny-tini from Toro Sushi and the Vin de Pomplemousse from Green Street Restaurant.

Once again, SIP-tember: A Celebration of the Cocktail culminates in a grand taste-off at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Everyone attending the Taste of Pasadena that evening will be able to taste the four finalist cocktails and vote for your favorite.

In 2014, four hundred people were on hand for the finale of the SIP-tember Cocktail.

The Sip-tember Cocktail Bracket Challenge Grand Finale is presented by the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce as a Pasadena Restaurant Week event sponsored by The City of Pasadena and the Rose Bowl.

The SIP-tember cocktail bracket challenge is an annual six week long competition among Pasadena Chamber of Commerce member restaurants and lounges. Competitors served drinks that were paired against each other in a competition.
