South Lake Business Association presents the 5th Annual Rooftop Cinema Series, a complimentary open-air movie series taking place Saturday, July 15 and Saturday, August 12. Thousands are expected to enjoy the thrilling action blockbuster Fast and Furious 6 (July 15) and the celebrated, romantic, action drama Top Gun (August 12) during Pasadena’s popular summer event.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive by 6 p.m. to enjoy the resident DJ and fun pre-show activities. The July 15th Fast and Furious 6 screening includes family-friendly games such as ping-pong, corn hole, Jenga, giant chess and Connect Four. Food trucks and vendors, including Rounds Premium Burgers, will also be on-site with delicious food and beverages available for purchase.
August 12 is a celebration of the award-winning romantic military film Top Gun in anticipation of the recently announced sequel. Guests can enjoy a Top Gun-themed photo-op, themed bounce houses and face painting for kids. Food vendors include: Le Petit Pomme Frites, Rounds Premium Burgers and Nothing Bundt Cakes.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a reclining beach chair for a comfortable seating experience. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Rooftop Cinema Series, there is a special VIP seating area. To take advantage of this offer, guests must present a printed receipt of a same day purchase from a South Lake Avenue retailer. This promotion is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Rooftop Cinema Series offers a perfect opportunity for friends and family to enjoy a lovely summer evening at one of the San Gabriel Valley’s premier outdoor movie screening experiences!
