While shoplifting, thoughtless thieves leave small child and infant in hot car with windows rolled up

By Terry Miller

On June 17, at about 2:16 p.m. Pasadena Police officers responded to a theft (shoplifting) in progress in the 700 block of East Colorado Blvd. Store security agents detained the suspects (two Female Adults & two Male Adults) and learned they left an infant and small child in the car while committing the crime. PPD officers and store security located the car and noticed the windows were rolled up. The ambient air temperature was approximately 90 degrees when the infant and child were removed from the car. The suspects were arrested for child endangerment and shoplifting. PPD and area firefighters remind the public that not only is it extremely dangerous to leave children and pets in a hot car, it is illegal.
