Foothill Unity Center remains open to provide vital services that are needed now as people lose their jobs and have their hours cut due to COVID-19.
In response to social distancing guidelines issued by multiple government agencies, the Center has postponed all events and activities until further notice. However, the Center continues to distribute food weekly to ensure those in need are provided with necessities. Food distributions are held at the Monrovia location (790 W. Chestnut Ave.) on Mondays from 1-3:30 p.m. and, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-11:30 a.m. The Pasadena location (191 N. Oak Ave.) hosts food distributions on Tuesdays 9-11:30 a.m. and, Wednesdays and Fridays from 1-3:30 p.m.
As the Center sees demand increase, so do its need for donations. In response, it has comprised a wish list asking for:
- Monetary donations.
- Disposable gloves.
- Bags.
- Medium sized boxes.
- Produce.
- Dairy.
- Meats.
- Breads.
- Rain ponchos.
- Gift cards to grocery stores.
- Tissues, paper towels and toilet paper.
- Canopies (10-by-10 feet).
- Personal hygiene products.
- Hand sanitizer.
- Household cleaning products.
- Drivers to help with food delivery.
The Center asks that donations be delivered to either the Monrovia or Pasadena centers.
