Shortly before 7:20 a.m., officers responded to the 00 block of West Lemon Avenue regarding a series of mail theft reports. During the previous night, mail had been stolen from a number of mailboxes located on Lemon Avenue, Sharon Road, Norman Avenue, Palm Drive, Florence Avenue, and Los Altos Avenue. Some of the mail had been discarded in the roadway. The investigation is ongoing.
At approximately 1:23 p.m., an officer responded to Macy’s, 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a shoplifting report. The officer discovered the suspect, a 73-year-old female from Alhambra, had stolen more than $2,000 worth of merchandise and was also the suspect of multiple shoplifting reports over the past month. She was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
March 2
Just after 9:19 a.m., an officer responded to Truth Theology Seminary, 141 E. Duarte Road, regarding a commercial burglary. An investigation revealed the unidentified suspect, likely a transient, entered the locked bathroom overnight and ransacked the storage room. The loss is unknown as of March 10. The investigation is ongoing.
At approximately 1:57 p.m., an officer responded to the 2700 block of Bradford Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle report. Sometime between 10 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. on March 2, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s 1989 Toyota truck. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.
March 3
Around 11:54 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 300 block of California Street regarding a vandalism report. The officer determined an unknown suspect smashed the window of a house for sale for no apparent reason. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.
Just before 7:50 p.m., an officer responded to JCPenney, 400 S. Baldwin Ave., regarding a vehicle burglary report. The victim discovered the suspect tampered with the lock to his truck bed storage container and fled with various tools. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.
March 4
Around 9:59 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 2600 block of South Third Avenue regarding a petty theft report. After renting out his garage through Airbnb to unknown tenants, the victim discovered his speakers and subwoofers had been stolen. The investigation is ongoing.
Shortly after 11:50 a.m., an officer responded to the 700 block of Country Oaks Lane regarding a burglary report. Surveillance footage revealed two suspects entered the Country Oaks Association pool storage room through an open window and stole cans of spray paint. The suspects were later identified as a 34-year-old male from Pomona and a 23-year-old female from Lancaster. The investigation is ongoing.
March 5
Before 12:18 p.m., an officer responded to the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and San Antonio Road regarding a vandalism report. The suspect was witnessed spray painting on a city wall. The 27-year-old male from Burbank was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Around 3:56 p.m., an officer responded to Eisenhower Park, 601 N. Second Ave., regarding a commercial burglary report. The officer determined an unidentified suspect forced open a storage shed near the baseball fields and fled with various equipment. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.
March 6
At about 4:02 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Las Tunas Drive regarding a stolen vehicle. Officers were alerted of a stolen vehicle in the area and upon contacting the driver, a records check revealed the driver, a 28-year-old male from San Gabriel had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant and was on felony probation. Both the driver and the 26-year-old male passenger from Covina were arrested for grand theft of a vehicle and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Just before 4:24 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of West Woodruff Avenue regarding a fraud report. A victim discovered the suspect(s) used her personal information to open numerous checking accounts. The victim does not know how the suspect obtained her personal information or the identity of the suspect.
March 7
Shortly after 1:45 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 2500 block of Florence Avenue regarding a residential burglary report. Sometime between Feb. 20 and March 7th, unknown suspects shattered a kitchen window and fled with an unknown amount of property. The investigation is ongoing.
At approximately 4:12 p.m., an officer responded to Boba Ave Express, 1437 Baldwin Ave., regarding a robbery report. An investigation revealed a fight occurred between 20 people resulting in a robbery of one victim, multiple thefts, and mutual battery incidents. The investigation is ongoing.
