Arcadia’s Maki Mae Takes ‘Woman Of The Year Tour’ to Southern California

California State Senate Woman of the Year, 12-language soprano, genre-defying violinist and Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation Executive Director Maki Mae has announced her Woman of the Year Tour.

A prize-winning virtuoso, Mae has performed on “America’s Got Talent,” Special Olympics World Games, and other international events. Her vast concert repertoire ranges from “Phantom of the Opera” to Queen.

A performance in the 150-seat Arcadia Cay Mortenson Auditorium on June 30 at 2 p.m. will benefit Methodist Hospital Foundation and the Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation. Mae’s tour then proceeds to the 200-seat San Gabriel Cleaver Hall on July 14 for a performance at 3:30 p.m. benefiting the Asian Youth Center. Another performance will follow on July 28 at 2 p.m. in the 500-seat James R. Armstrong Theatre in Torrance benefiting the Asian American Drug Abuse Program.
