Recently, Sean Sprinkel notified the City that he needs to resign from his position as a member of the Monrovia Old Town Advisory Board (MOTAB). Given this development, the City is currently accepting applications for an unscheduled vacancy on MOTAB to complete the remainder of Mr. Sprinkel’s term, which is set to expire in June 2018.

The five-member MOTAB board is comprised of Old Town merchants, and is responsible for making recommendations to the City Council on programs and projects to advance the downtown area through marketing, promotion, and overall improvement of the Old Town Business Improvement District. All positions are volunteer and receive no compensation. Board Members may not be a City of Monrovia employee, must have a bona fide business in the Old Town district that is subject to the Business Improvement District (BID) assessment, and must be current on their BID assessment. MOTAB meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at City Hall, Council Chambers, 415 S. Ivy Ave.

For more information, please contact City Clerk Alice Atkins at (626) 932-5505, or reach her via email at aatkins@ci.monrovia.ca.us. A copy of the notice of vacancy on the MOTAB board has been included below for your reference, and an application form to apply for the vacancy can be found online at the City of Monrovia Website.
