So Cal Gas Company Closing Monrovia Branch

Superintendent Brian McDonald seemed to be just as frustrated as the parents with the recent decision to re-arrange the MTT priority list, “I simply can’t keep up … one minute I think I understand what the priority list says … and, a week later, things change.”

Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) has announced that it will close its Monrovia Branch office, located at 141 S. Myrtle Ave., “sometime after Sept. 1.”

The Calfornia Public Utilities Commission recently authorized the closure due to the declining number of transactions and the high cost of services.

The company also reported that another reason for the closure was the increase in the number of customers conducting their business online and by phone, instead of in-person.

SoCalGas committed to providing significant advanced warning, prior to the closure of the office. In addition, they will be sure to provide customers with information, regarding other ways to make payments and service arrangements.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, contact SoCalGas at (800) 427-2200. When the exact date of the closure is determined, it will be announced.
