In partnership with the Office of Blanca E. Rubio, the City of Baldwin Park will host its 6th Annual Mental Health Awareness Walk & Resource Fair on Saturday, May 16. This community-focused event brings residents together to provide access to vital mental health and wellness resources.
The festivities begin at 9 a.m. at Morgan Park (4100 Baldwin Park Blvd.) with a scenic, one-mile community walk. Following the walk, the park will transform into a hub of support and celebration, featuring over 30 local vendors, live music and essential health services.
“We are proud to celebrate mental health awareness with our community,” said Baldwin Park Mayor Daniel Damian. “For six years, this event has served as a reminder that no one in our community has to face mental health challenges alone. We are proud to provide a space where residents can find resources while enjoying a day of unity.”
This year’s event will feature a walk-only format to allow attendees of all ages and abilities to participate. Registration is not required and attendees are encouraged to join the one-mile walk and enjoy the day’s activities. All participants will receive participation medals while supplies last.
Following the walk, attendees can enjoy a resource fair with over 30 local health and community vendors as well as live entertainment from Latin band, SOTO, until noon. Baldwin Park will also offer free dental and mammogram screenings as part of the event. To schedule a mammogram appointment, contact the City of Hope Mobile Mammogram Unit by calling (844) 238-4673.
“Everyone deserves access to mental health care,” said Assemblywoman Blanca E. Rubio. “I am proud to partner with the City of Baldwin Park to connect residents with essential services and support.”
