A woman was shot and killed Monday in Rosemead, authorities said.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a shooting around 6:15 a.m. in the 2400 block of Strathmore Avenue.
The woman was transported to a hospital and was pronounced dead, according to the LASD.
Sheriff’s officials said Monday afternoon that a man had been detained in connection with the fatal shooting. Additional information about the motive for the killing or the possible relationship between the man and the victim was not available.
Lt. Steve DeJong was the lead investigator on the case.
