Fitness buffs and feline friends can stretch and strengthen their “inner kitty core” Sunday at the Tail Town Cat Café’s Cats on Mats PURRlates session.
Organizers suggested attendees bring their own mats and towels to the 45-minute session led by Kathy of PilatesPasadena.org starting at 4 p.m. The cost is $20 per person for ages 6 and older.
Tail Town Cat Café is at 1780 E. Washington Blvd. in Pasadena. To register, visit tailtowncats.com/events.
“Tail Town Cats works to prevent cruelty to animals and provide education to the public on animal welfare,” according to the nonprofit organization, which rescues cats from abuse, abandonment, neglect, harm or danger at shelters with high kill rates due to overcrowding. Tail town cats provides housing, foster care and adoption services via its Pasadena-based café and adoption center.
Tail Town partners with Kitten Rescue to offer “a chill experience for those looking to adopt or a fun place for cat lovers to relax and socialize,” according to a Tail Town statement. “Featuring between 35-40 free-roaming, adoptable cats in a 2,000 square foot space, Tail Town offers regular visiting hours, fun afterhours activities and opportunities for cat-themed corporate, gallery, private parties and events.”
Since 2021 Tail Town has found families for nearly 400 cats, according to the organization.
