Police Monday sought the public’s help to locate a hit-and-run suspect who left another motorist with minor injuries in downtown Los Angeles.

The female hit-and-run suspect in a black 2018 Cadillac XTS made a left turn without yielding to oncoming traffic on West Olympic Boulevard, between South Hope Street and South Grand Avenue near Grand Hope Park, about 6:45 a.m. on Oct. 7 and collided with a tan van that was traveling eastbound on West Olympic Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

“The driver of the Cadillac made no effort to render aid and refused to exchange information with the driver of the van, abandoning her vehicle and fleeing on foot,” according to the LAPD.

The driver of the van was treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash.

Police described the driver of the Cadillac as a Black woman with black hair “featuring a possible 4-foot long ponytail extension” and long false eyelashes. She stands about 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds.

The LAPD noted investigators interviewed the registered owner of the black Cadillac, but reported that individual has “not been cooperative with the investigation.”

Anyone with information on the collision was asked to contact LAPD Detective Juan Campos at 213-833-3713. Calls made during nonbusiness hours or on weekends can be directed to 877-527-3247.

Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or submitted at lacrimestoppers.org.
