Sheriff’s detectives Monday morning asked the public for help locating a 15-year-old girl who went missing in Los Angeles but could be heading to the city of Commerce or Eastvale.

Promise, also known as Luis, Rodriguez was last seen at 9 p.m. Saturday in the 400 block of South Woods Avenue in Los Angeles, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

She does not have a history of running away and her family is concerned for her well-being, Koerner said.

Rodriguez is described as Hispanic, 5 feet, 3 inches tall, 90 pounds, with long brown hair and brown eyes, wearing a white T-shirt and gray shorts, with black-and-gray Vans tennis shoes and a black backpack.

Anyone with information was asked to call the sheriff’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
